Here’s some exciting things to expect from us this year:
1st – We’re going hybrid! CIFF has pivoted to a hybrid model, providing creative limited live audience programming, moving our Movies in the Park Event (2K plus attendees) into a Drive-in Experience and investing in technology to convert to an online platform for film screenings, interactive panels and filmmaker Q&As, so attendees can safely participate in everything the festival has to offer
2nd – We’re keeping our prizes! CIFF will be awarding cash prizes and production packages valued at over $25,000. With $6,500 in cash prizes going to our Focus on Inclusion categories dedicated to Female, Indigenous and LGTBQ filmmakers.
3rd – Our Grand Jury! With Australian Cinematographer and Academy Member, Peter Menzies, Jr., known for his diverse and critically acclaimed body of work which includes: A Time to Kill, Shooter, The Incredible Hulk, The General’s Daughter and Die Hard with a Vengeance, as Cordillera’s Chairman of the Board, we’ve assembled a who’s who of Hollywood, signing on as either Board Members or as part of the festival’s prestigious Grand Jury.
The impressive list of Oscar Award Winning and Nominated talent on our Grand Jury include:
Writer / Director Bruce Beresford (Driving Miss Daisy, Double Jeopardy)
